Jordan Phelps (he/him) is an award-winning film director, producer, editor and proud co-founder of VAM STUDIO.
His aesthetics explore themes of nature vs. the unnatural, the magical against the mundane and always aims to tell stories that represent his communities in nuanced and honest ways.
With a diverse body of work, Jordan has produced directed projects ranging from Madison McFerrin’s “Scorpio”, Shea Coulee’s Coulee-D and Collide music videos to Grammy Award-winning artist Esperanza Spalding’s Blood and Joints visuals and collaborations with Jamila Woods and Chance the Rapper.
He has also produced and edited original award winning narratives such as VAM's Finesse and Damaged Goods series, as well as spearheaded personal experimental short films like Litany and Home|Here with collaborative artist Po’ Chop.
Jordan’s commercial work spans a wide range of clients, including Viacom International, Airbnb, Red Bull, Nike, the AIDS Foundation of America, Gilead Pharmaceuticals, Spotify, Dr. Martens, and more.
Driven by a deep commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, Jordan’s mission is to elevate POC, queer/trans, and female artists globally while crafting narratives that provoke, inspire, and leave a lasting impact on audiences.
