Jamila Woods made an appearance on a live special coverage edition of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night (January 6). Woods gave a moving performance of her 2020 single “SULA (Paperback),” with backing vocalists and a string section. Her appearance on The Late Show followed news of the rioters who breached the U.S. Capitol. Watch Woods’ performance of “SULA (Paperback)”—which was written in honor of the late writer Toni Morrison.
